I am a professional licensed counselor and a certified art therapist with over 15 years of experience counseling
adults, teens, and children.

Prior to earning my counseling and art therapy degree I was involved with children as a teacher, a teacher's assistant and volunteer in the public schools. After teaching behaviorally challenged youth in a residential treatment facility I knew I wanted to pursue a counseling degree. Always involved in a creative endeavor, I was drawn to art therapy and obtained my counseling and art therapy degree from Marylhurst University. Since graduation I have provided therapy for adults, children and families, in many different settings that include hospitals, therapeutic schools and private practice, both outpatient and inpatient.

I facilitate psychotherapy that is insight oriented with an emphasis on skill building. I utilize mindfulness skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, attatchment theory, motivational interviewing as well as other theoretical perspectives.

I update my knowledge of new research, effective-based treatment and new information by attending courses and continuing education seminars on a regular basis. I am engaged in ongoing clinical supervision to sharpen my skills, gain new insights and ensure that I provide my clients with excellent treatment.
